The mystery of evil and suffering in the Church
Before the mystery of suffering, ever-present throughout the life of every human being, one is shocked and no attempt explanation on the part of philosophers and theologians can accept it with serenity.
The evil in all its aspects, physical, moral, psychological, is considered a problem for philosophers, for Christ and Christians is an enemy, a scandal, a provocation and demanded a protest, mobilization, a revolt.
not explain evil, fight it! The same Jesus opens the eyes of the blind, even if it's the Sabbath! This proclamation came for the lost, the sick, to sinners.
Faced with questions about why suffering, unhappy and tormented Job, God had simply said, "Who are you to seek an explanation from God?". So you have to admit
that God's ways are not our own. God has a very positive view of suffering, so much so, which hosts the pain for himself as a necessary way, says Jesus to the disciples of Emmaus: "Did not the Christ should suffer and enter into his glory? And the Apostles: "Verily, verily I say unto you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it bears much fruit."
Then the second way of looking at God and the experience of Jesus, the Passion itself ends in fiery glory of the Risen Christ, death gives the abundant fruit of the redemption of the world.
In light of this, the suffering is a reality unavoidable, the problem has turned into a special opportunity for redemption and his bid for the redemption of our brothers, pilgrims like us in this "valley of tears", as the hymn 'Salve Regina'.

love is always faster than the ministry

E. Burnand, Peter and John run to the tomb .- 1898, Paris, Musée d'Orsay
"They ran the two together. But the other disciple was quicker than Peter and reached the tomb first. "They both run as fast as he can, but love is always in the Church faster than the ministry. He notices more quickly than it takes, always with generosity and commitment. The ministry, even when proceeding as quickly as possible, love can not reach. The ministry is responsible for all, must seek to pursue all, must take into account all must strive to act as evenly. Can not go to the Lord only to those who walk faster, you need to worry about all the flock entrusted to him, should not abandon the slow and tepid. Love is in the generosity: this is quicker ... But love is not a madman running in a senseless manner. Both run together. Love remains in contact with the ministry and its disposal, but at the same time drags.
